It's almost christmas and here in rochester the grass is still green and not one decent snowfall. I'm not complaining but I'm pretty sure this only means certain doom for humanity. So while we're waiting for the world to end I'm posting this cute little watercolor I did as a  x-mas present. Merry Christmas!

I've never used illustrator for anything, but I started a new project with my brother and thought it was about time to get acquainted with it. Turns out its alot of fun!

25cent ride

I was walking around the mall and saw a plump little girl on one of those little 25 cent pony rides. She had the biggest smile on her face until it stopped, which was followed by crying, whining, screaming, dragging and stomping. I did a few sketches..unsuccessfully, until I approached it from the p-o-v of the horse.

this was the original sketch I started with. She seems to be a wealthy bored character, probably vacationing at some upscale resort.

this sketch came after, I wanted to make her more angular and strengthen the pose, now she seems more sophisticated and alluring...with bigger hat of course.
